Due to his kind personality, Yang became good friends with many celebrities. Among them, there were famous painters who gave their paintings to Yang as gifts and gourmets who wrote positive articles in newspapers after tasting DinTaiFung's food. The steamed dumplings became so popular that Yang soon stopped his oil business and dedicated his entire time to the restaurant business.
The DinTaiFung Oil Shop had thoroughly transformed into a popular restaurant selling a delicacy. The one time oil deliverer had become king of the well-known steamed dumplings.
Later on, Bingyi passed the business to his eldest son, Jihua, who is the current owner of DinTaiFung.
After taking over the business, Jihwa implemented a total quality management system and raised the overall service standards, which greatly increased DinTaiFung's competitiveness within the industry.
DinTaiFung's continuing efforts to improve the restaurant, won praise from many people. Even Mr. Sano Kotaro from Takashimaya Taipei Branch tried to persuade DinTaiFung to start a branch at Takashimaya in Tienmu.
Due to insufficient manpower at the time, Mr. Yang turned down the proposal, but Mr. Sano did not give up his plans. After many rounds of negotiations and moved by Mr. Sano's efforts, Yang agreed to launch a branch at the Takashimaya Department Store in Japan in cooperation with Takashimaya, Japan.
